About the Founder- Nina Leavins, MSSES

Nina Leavins

Welcome, I'm so glad to have you join me here at the HLH Institute.  Having a solid nutrition and exercise program are the keys to ageless and productive living.  Personally, I'm 50 and planning for yes as crazy at it seems 106 years (a number inspired by one of my clients and friends Tom, during a conversation at one of our fun training sessions together).  And of course I want my remaining 50 plus years to be productive, fun, of top quality and full functionality, so I take my lifestyle habits very seriously.  What about you???  Have you given any thought to your desired lifespan and quality of life as you age?  Personally, I'm ramping up for my 50+, not down.  I feel stronger and more powerful than at any previous age....I love 50 and am hoping to love 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100+.  Also, I feel more productive, fun and passionate about life than ever before, and all of this I attribute to the principles of natural living that I follow.  And of course now I want to share those secrets with you to help all you guys live longer too or I'll have no friends, teehee.

I bring you close to two decades and thousands of hours of intense study, personal experience, professional experience and deep thought into the core principles of healthy living (not to mention a trip to India living at an ashram learning the philosophy and practices of yoga).  From this immersion I've come to understand how deeply connected our physiology and psychology are to each other (mind-body), and how important our connection or lack of connection to the universe is (soul).  I've arrived at the conclusion that the more natural and simple a lifestyle we follow, and the more connected we are to ourselves and our surroundings; the more grounded we are in the present moment, the healthier we will be and more well-being we will have.

As an early adopter of healthy lifestyle habits, I've often eliminated poor or outright dangerous habits 10 years before the general public has even been aware of the problem (and as you can tell I'm very proud of that since I'm mentioning it, teehee).  All jokes aside the information we have on healthy lifestyle habits such as for example nutrition is changing continually, and it would be impossible for someone not professionally involved and interested in the field to make sense of the barrage of information (often conflicting) coming out.  This is part of my job for you, to keep bringing you the best and most up to date information.

Healthy living requires action.  Healthy and happy living requires in addition to action, a compassion for ourselves and others, and an extremely good sense of humor.  Our daily activities of living must include a passion for eating, moving, breathing, relaxing, meditating, positive thinking, fresh air, clean water, laughing, crying and an awareness of ourselves.  I hope to be of service to you in not only giving you an exercise and nutritional program that I consider the best, but also helping you design a complete program of spectacular living into your life and helping you take action on that plan.  So, bring all your vices to the table and lets roll up our sleeves and get to work!!!!!

Yours in pursuit of the ultimate in living

Nina

ABOUT THE HLH MISSION:

The Institute for Healthy Lifestyle Habits (HLH Institute) was founded by Nina Leavins, MSSES to combat poor and outright dangerous lifestyle habits being followed by people attempting to live healthier lifestyles. Unfortunately many are following faulty and contradictory information. The Institute has been created with the view of disseminating quality information.  It also seeks to review and update current lifestyle practices to better reflect the times we live in.

There has never been a time in society where following healthy lifestyle habits was more important than now.  This is due in part to the major shift society has made away from the reliable local 9-5 work place.  All our lifestyle habits have been based on that model, as our day is organized around work hours.  However, in the new, faster, globalized 24/7 work place, these out-dated habits are creating havoc on the health of the general population.  This in turn has led to an increased interest in healthy lifestyles, but unfortunately with much poor and some outright dangerous information being handed down to the lay public.  This is where the value lies in the Institute, to make sure people have a quality site to go to for genuinely healthy and natural lifestyle information, and also to make sure the lifestyle habits make sense in today's environment.

PURPOSE:

Empower people world-wide with knowledge, inspiration and tools to practice and speed implement optimum personal performance and high quality living strategies, which allow them to be highly productive and healthy at the same time.

AGENDA:

1.  Gather and disseminate the healthiest and most natural lifestyle habits to the general population.

2.  Update lifestyle practices in use today with the new knowledge available and to fit the new global environment.

3.  Provide a global forum for lay people and health practitioners from around the world to debate and discuss current lifestyle problems and possible non-medicalized solutions.

4.  Spotlight the urgent need for adopting a high-quality, non-medicalized lifestyle, moving ourselves from an illness model of treatment to a wellness model of living.

5.  Alert people to the poor and dangerous lifestyle habits masquerading as healthy.

6.  Educate, train and support people in the adoption of natural, healthy lifestyle habits.

7.  Introduce and sell wellness products and services that can increase the quality of life for it members and improve their health.

8.  Become an active, strong and supportive global on-line community for people making changes to their lifestyle habits.
